G Contracting is seeking an organized, proactive Project Coordinator to support our residential design-build projects from planning through completion.
This role is responsible for keeping the many moving pieces of a renovation organized and on track, coordinating schedules, materials, vendors, documentation, client communication, invoicing, and project information so that our Project Managers and field teams can focus on executing exceptional work.
The Project Coordinator will serve as a central point of communication between clients, Project Managers, the design team, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, and naturally thinks several steps ahead.
The goal of the position is to create a smoother, more predictable experience for both the team and the homeowner.
Key Responsibilities
Project coordination: Support Project Managers in keeping projects on schedule and moving through each phase; maintain project timelines, milestones, documentation, and action items; identify upcoming needs or potential delays and proactively follow up.
Client communication: Serve as a consistent point of contact throughout the project; provide updates, coordinate decisions and selections, answer routine questions, and help resolve issues or communication gaps in partnership with the Project Manager.
BuilderTrend management: Maintain accurate project information in BuilderTrend, including schedules, client communications, selections, documents, invoices, purchase information, and other project records.
Purchasing & materials: Create and manage product orders for active projects, including replacement or reordered products due to shortages, damage, or changes; track orders and shipments; coordinate deliveries and communicate delays or issues.
Vendor & subcontractor coordination: Communicate schedules, project requirements, selections, and documentation to vendors and subcontractors; maintain product/detail sheets and other information required for successful installation.
Project documentation: Create and maintain job-site binders; coordinate permit documentation and prepare permit packages; maintain project files, product specifications, selections, and other required documentation.
Financial coordination: Assist with creating, tracking, and releasing project invoices according to project milestones; support accurate documentation of purchases and project-related costs.
Design & showroom support: Assist the design team with selections, ordering, documentation, and coordination; manage showroom-related needs, samples, product drops, and materials as needed.
Post-sale & production support: Help transition sold projects into production and maintain continuity from the client's initial selections through construction and project completion.
What We're Looking For
The strongest candidate will be someone who is exceptionally organized but also comfortable with people. This role needs both the person who notices an order hasn't shipped and can confidently call the vendor, update the PM, and explain the situation to a homeowner.
Ideal qualifications:
2+ years of project coordination, construction administration, residential remodeling, design, purchasing, or similar experience preferred
Experience in residential construction, remodeling, interior design, cabinetry, or building materials strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active projects and competing deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through
Ability to anticipate needs and identify problems before they impact the project
Comfortable learning and working within project-management software; BuilderTrend experience is a plus
Working knowledge of construction documents, selections, purchasing, permits, and/or project schedules is a plus
Professional, calm, solutions-oriented approach when plans change or problems arise
What We Offer
Competitive pay based on experience and skill level
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Paid time off and holidays
Steady, year-round work
High-quality residential renovation projects throughout the Lehigh Valley
An organized design-build environment
A team that values craftsmanship, communication, professionalism, and doing things right
What Success Looks Like
Projects are organized and current. Materials arrive when they're needed. Clients know what's happening. Vendors and subcontractors have the information they need.
